if i'm not wrong, there's gst imposed on items above 400 dollars, at least thats what happens when you ship from ishibashi. correct me if i'm wrong!

not from ishibashi, but from musicyo.
GAS'ing for a Kramer Jersey Star which is USD1022.

so only GST? 8%? nothing else?

Not sure abt musicyo but I doubt they will charge their country tax. Only our tax if you ship in something above $400.

Incara is right. 7% gst when you import anything above $400. Should have buy before 1 Jul.....

7% tax for more than $400

and a bit more loose change for some stupid service charge if you're using those courier people eg Fedex, DHL, UPS etc.

hmm 7% not bad.
and musicyo ships by fedex.
still much better than malaysia which charges 10% import duty, sdome products get extra tax depending on what category the item falls under.
eg. 30% tax for electrical products, so amps for under that.

and since musicyo doesnt ship to malaysia, guess scared of scamsters again, i'll just get it shipped to a friends place.
