How good is your ear for music? Online test

Wow sage, that's impressive :)

The reason I thought the piano training helps is that I learnt about cadences there (including listening for the low and high notes), and also major/minor chords and scales. Some of the questions reminded me of theory exercises :P

btherl > Wah.. need to really kidnap you out of music theory one day, i think you've overworked it lol

86.1% Correct 1st try while fixing 2 computers , one of them have a damn noisy cdrom fan going on, got distracted.

i realised some phrases are exactly the same note, but different ending timing and if you answer "different" the answer is actually "same".

94.4% correct 2nd try. i think there's one that was really tricky, around question: 63%complete. 2 notes running at the same time, and the background note i'm not sure if there's a difference.. something like what btherl mentioned. the high and low notes. i'm gotta go pick up my wife now so no time to "rip" the audio and compare (a.k.a get the answers for each qn).

i think I've done these tests before.. there was this other thread but can't find it...

waiting for computer to defrag....

1st try ...
adaptive pitch : 1.2hz
rhythm test : 92% (no replays used. 10 left)
[the new AMVI (I don't recall doing this before haha) : 75%]

Musical memory: 70.0%
Contour discrimination: 79.5%
Attention: 72.0%

THIS IS HARD!!.. sometimes I don't even know what I'm looking at or hearing.

72.2% onli... dang, should have read blueprintstudio's note before doing, haha.

11yrs of playing music seems noobish now... LOL
