hey guys.

not long ago i dropped my guitar - an epiphone les paul custom black beauty while going for a jam session, and having a tilted back headstock, the headstock snapped, and it was just dangling there. (sorry no pics available - just imagine ur hand, the arm is the neck and ur palm the headstock, it was tilted before it snapped and just straighten ur wrist and thats how that wrecked looked)

haha den sent it to sweelee to get it fixed, they glued the headstock back.
i was just wondering if that break would affect greatly the guitar's tone or sound.

and curious also, are accidents like this common?

thanks!

I think its quite common to see a snapped LP neck due to falls and stuff. Their body never seem to break but not so true for the necks.

haha alright, but theres like this dent, about 1 or 2 mm deep? on the bodynear the strap hook, will there be much effect?

Backward? You mean the angled headstocks? Without that angled headstocks there won't much of a sustain to speak of.

And Epi's headstocks aren't that angled as a Gibby.
