How do you recognize someone as a GOOD guitarist?

I'm sorry, i started off with blues, so my view differs a ton!!!
I've seen many guitarist shred, many guitarist play complex chords and such...
Ouch!!! I'm not impress....
Music to me isn't an art to impress, it's an art to feel... What's the point of playing so many notes when it's all there just to show off, what's the point of playing at fastest speed or complexity when it's just there to prove you are good..
I think the best guitarist isn't one that does all these, he only does it when it's needed. The word i talk about is that dirty word "FEEL", that one single note or band that speaks a 1000 languages.... That few nice melody notes or arpeggios that just fit so appropriately to the music overall.. Those little things are what people neglect, people are always on the lookout for that impressive music, that impressive stunt....
Ouch, i'm a lover of Gary Hoey, Blues Saraceno and John Norum of Europe.... they play their leads with such nice climax and appropriateness, fast only when needed, complex only when needed... and control and feel,,,, WOW!!!

lets not talk bout the foreign guitarist in the world..
lets take our local GREATS
Paul Daniels - talented n and wat impresses me, his control n choice of notes he delivers. not onli an experience player but a humble one too.
Addy( 9 Lives ) - another well known talented axe man in the scene, even if he sweeps those scales, the dynamics n notes the feel, realli drive u crazy. he can sing too.
Syed Munir( parking lot Pimps) - this fella realli rule the chord progression n jazz licks. wats unbelievable bout him, he can relate his playing even to HIP-HOP n RnB stuffs..( not many player can do) his feels also power.
Justin (Aphelion) - GIT graduate, ever since the 90s, before he went to GIT, he's oredi an establish player, his theory will tell all. one word bout him. Genious.
Talib( tribe n tri-ryche) - another lion city guitar hero, have the privelage to record one of guitars great sounding in the region, a progressive player, hard picker, his tones are from his fingers. trust me, n master of the 7-string.
Bard n Awel ( one man down) - the most innovative guitar duos, since 98, these guys experimented n performd wif many fx n style. think TOM MORELLO, MUNKEY N HEAD, we have all of em in this 2 guys. trade mark, playing the guitars using pagers n t.v remote ctrl unit. n they done it reall good too
Ah Boy TNT - a real ol' skool legend, Akira Takasaki of S'pore. watever speed u guys have, he done that' way back in the mid 80s. dont ever lobang wif him bout recording n guitars..( dont even think bout it )
