I have been singing for my band for quite a while now, but I have trouble reaching the high notes.
How do you raise your vocal range and hit those keys? =.=

l0ls same here. im just training my vocals and try hitting that high notes. but it seems now i cant reach it yet. still nid to do more^2 training.

practice breathing. jogging, swimming, etc...
the better your stamina the better your singing will be.
if you're a smoker or drinker or both, you might need to work harder on building up your stamina.
do breathing exercises like singing while jogging or singing while lying on your back with a phone book on your belly.

history? means u no longer have it right?
train up slowly, dont push yourself.
let the build up be steady and naturally.

So like.. building up my stamina and doing these exercises can help me raise my vocal range? or does it give it better tone or power or sth?

u need stamina to hit those high notes.
so build up your stamina, then practice your do re mi.
:)

PM me if you need more help.

As i posted in the other thread :

"it's all about training and hard work man.
try this : sing up a scale, and see at which note ur real voice stops and ur falsetto takes over. then, to improve ur range, mix ur real voice and your falsetto, and over time this will improve ur range. this takes quite some time to achieve, months to maybe years ? i've been singing for 4 years and my range has only gone up like to a F or G ? =/

another piece of advice is to refrain from using ur throat, and rather support with ur diaphragm, unless what ur singing is those kinda screamo kinda stuff.

and do warm up ur vocals before u attempt to sing.

that's all i can offer yo. good luck ! (:"

^^ They actually teach that in self-defence, squeezing it for 20secs can knock the person out. Don't think it's actually helpful if that person is trying to stay conscious singing...

first u have to work on your voice projection. next u have to exercise ur vocal chords to sing higher.

Then you have to maintain that state of singing when u project + vocal chord tuned for high pitch. don't really need stamina.

Its like a recorder. You have to control how much air you blow into it, and cover the holes properly. and fluidly going up and down.

Too much air and you become like screaming. Too little air and you wont produce a sound. If you don't cover the hole properly, you won't sound the way you wanted it.
