How do you guys attach your pedals to the board?

hey all was wondering how you manage to stick the heavier pedals like the PW tuner onto the board

also, where can find the industrial strength velcro? will it still work if onli the male side is used on the pedal, whilst im still using the board's female side?

im going to home-diy tmr to check out if they have any velcros in stock

home diy has industrial strength velcro.. 4.90 per foot if i'm not wrong.

My friend has a MM4 velcro-ed tightly to his board using the industrial strength velcro... For me, my DD-20 is being held by the same velcro too

for the industrial strength velcro part, do you guys attach the female part to the board?

what do you mean by female part? usually the fuzzy side is on the board and the side with hooks is on the pedal.

allow me to rephrase

the fuzzy side that is on the board --> came with the board or replaced by industrial velcro as well?

i know it should come with 2 parts, the sharp side and the fuzzy side

the qns is, do you use both?

if you do, how did you attach the fuzzy side onto the board? (considering that it has it's own fuzzy side as well)

if the board is a carpet, then the hook(male side) sticks to the carpet(female side).

if like the pedaltrain, its just metal, just use the sticky side and stick it on like tape.

if its a westfield/ehx, just use the male side on the pedal and whack it on the board.

Both the fuzzy and hook side comes with a sticky tape already attached.

Oh and why would you want to stick the fuzzy side over the fuzzy side thats already is on the board. For the Westfield, I just added more strips between the gaps.

ah this is where my dilemma lies...

my board already comes with the fuzzy side attached
would it be a good idea to replace it with the fuzzy industrial velcro side?
(cos i have no idea how to do this)

Probably no need. Just use the rough side on your pedals and see if they stick well enough. They probably should unless your pedalboard is using some really poor material.

just went to home-fix at imm and couldnt find any industrial velcro
i bought a small pack of 'extreme velcro'
lets see how well they hold up

where can i find such velcro somewhere in the west area? dont really want to travel all the way to town...
