How do we fund for our gear?

i dont eat,i dont drink(when i'm out).and i seldom go out partying with friends.i get the dough from working at the night safari part time if not school money.school money aint enough though as you all know being a student in lasalle takes a lot of cash...damn it!

Bought my first electric guitar back in 1987. Made a deal with my mum to cut $1 out of my $2 daily canteen allowance. That Rockson strat copy cost me $220 back then.

Nowadays, either i sell off some of my current guitars/effects to fund new ones or i am lucky enough to meet great guys who let me pay by 2-3 months installment.

2? as in brought into sweelee ar? i dunno bout that la but kinda interesting. Anyways, i bought mine from a fellow softie for 500bucks without the pups. Its black, he modded it and it had a hole where the 3way toggle switch used to be along with ALOT of chips and dings.

Me and my fren took all the rust of the trem and crap. Den i bought it to beez who installed a Dimarzio Blaze Bridge 7 along with new gotoh pots and orange drop cap. Now it is fully capable of kicking yours and every1 else's ass. 4got to mention dat i tune it to F and it plays awesome due to the 27" scale.

HAHAHA take that, punks!

Just saw this post... Thought I'd better reply before it's missed. or maybe I'm too late...

??? Then that's odd. There were NO black 1077XLs. Only Royal Blue. There WAS a 2077XL the following year in black though... How do you tune it to C (on the B string. F is on the E string)? The tension would be high, and quite aweful to play in... I'd hate it. I'm surprised you like it though...

And where you get the 3 way switch from? It's a 5 way... Both the 1077XL and the 2077XL were 5 ways...
