How Do I Want To Be Lefthanded When I'm Right Handed?

Just buy a left handed guitar and practice la. Anyway, I think there was a thread before where some guys in a video saying that left hand playing style is actually the correct way for right handers and vice versa.

I do agree, a whole list of incredible players are lefties that play right.
From the top of my head,

Peter Green, Mick Taylor, Dick Dale, Mark Knopfler, Steve Morse, the dudes from Guitar Techniques, Michael Angelo Batio, Danny Gatton (!), Ted Greene(!!!).

So really, I think lefties, from the 1st guy and the last 5 name(s), rule the guitar world. Don't forget Hendrix or Albert King.

As a rightman, I'm envious.

Hey Softies!
I want to be Left Handed coz I'm a big fan of Paul McCartney.XD

firstly, that's a pretty stupid reason. Im a big fan of carter beauford but that doesn't mean i play open handed (for drums). i'm a fan of carter beauford that my sound is influenced by him, which should be the case for you. what does left-handed playing have to do with anything?

Anw, dont tell me that i'm a noob or faggot, coz i hate people insulting me.

oh you're kidding me, i thought people liked being insulted.

Anw, I really want to become left handed.
Can you help me?

yes i most certainly can, just let me break off your right arm. and you'll be left-handed for the rest of your life. and back to the main question...

How Do I Want To Be Lefthanded When I'm Right Handed?

wtf do you mean by that?

i think sticking to right would be much better , if it's influence wise i gotta agree with ^
i srsly doubt the hand ur playing with is gona determine ur tone in a long run the rest is pretty much technique and your equipments.
Besides playing right you'll have a larger selection of axes too
and d00d you dont have to be so defensive over people calling you a fag

Erm..no offence but u got a problem?
I only do this thread coz I want to try something else.
And, that is something that i should be proud off.
I'm 13 years old and willing to do stupid stuff just to show I want to be like Paul McCartney.
Anw, u gt problem with me?

Sorry if i started in the wrong tone
but what i meant is that from my pov it doesnt matter if ur starting with a left or right handed guitar, and my advice is just simply to go for right since he's already a right hander as buying future guitars would be much easier :)

i believe what i said has been said with tongue-in-cheek. if it's not constructive then perhaps i've not gotten the message across. what i meant to say that there's no reason to want to play left-handed just because someone else does it. it's not a good enough reason, and even though you are 13 it's a rather immature approach to something like that. making such a decision may result in undesirable repercussions in the future.

it may slow down your progress because instead of learning technique with your already well-trained (for the past 13 years) right hand, you have to learn techniques painfully and not effectively with your left hand.

telling me to gtfo is effectively fighting fire with fire (get the flame-fire pun there? i'm afraid you might be too slow to catch on). this is just my slightly more than 2 cents worth. take it for what it's worth, i'm just a soft poster not the police.

hey keith,its cool :) i understand.

i think what i meant was,
your comment "if you dont wanna give constructive comments,y even bother to come here"

doesn't really teli with what you do by saying
"boy o boy, this is getting funny.
probably another 10 year old acting 35"

but anyway, i think TS, although i don't really agree with why you're doing that, if you really want to play the lefty way, i think the best way would be to learn to write using your left hand, cause that's something you do most of the time right? (if you're studying)

and to make things interesting, you can learn a new language and learn to write it with your left!

Ok back to topic, lol. A somewhat similar question like this would be "How do i kick with my left foot when i'm right dominant?"

PRACTICE BRUDDER (with proper techniques) :p

HOME UTD FTW

with an avatar like that and being dumb enough to not get the fun side of evident's post, i shall do what i always do.
