Just wondering, how do I get that 70's rock sound.

I was listening to Alice Cooper last night and really liked the sound of the guitar and realised a heap of bands had that sound back then.

If you dont understand i'll find an example.

Alice Cooper - feed my frankenstein
Alice cooper - i'm eighteen

i think u better check his gear list...alice's guitarist would be in a better position to provide info than any of us here. :) but generally i think those vintage series kinda gear would to the trick.

so they wouldnt have any special amp settings or pedals?

i'll look into it, but i mean i was using alice as an example, i mean heaps of bands had it, deep purple and those guys. jimmy paige in some instances aswell i think/.

non-master amps turned up, low/medium output SC/humbuckers/P90s, treble boost pedals, greenback/GH30 speakers.

just some of the stuff used in the 70s.

nitrovo, the feed my frankenstein track..
i believe is a soldano or marshall plexi kinda tone..
well u can try a ds1 for rhythm section and boost it with sd1 for solo..
bear im mind there are wah pedal n delay/ reverb use too..

as for i'm eighteen
its like played clean ala fender reverb kinda amp..
u can get the rhythm tone via fuzz pedal or sd1..
ds1 also possible with less gain..might need to roll ur guitar vol as well

well gd luck bro..u`ve got taste man...
