How do i connect a condenser mic to my Line 6 POD Studio GX?

I'm aware that condenser mic doesn't work on my GX, but am a bit confused at the same time.
Can i buy a good condenser mic with the XLR connector, then a cheap phantom power to change it to 1/4'' plug and connect to GX? I'm hoping that in this way, it'll be cheaper than buying the same condenser mic but with a USB cable?

jacky817. You can buy a phantom power supply like this, route it through this to match the impedance then into your gx. I'm assuming your gx inputs are hi-z since it says guitar input.
