lol i officially announced that i'm gonna make an album but i dont have any band members to jam/record with. muahahaha my genre now is alternative~ playing all kinds of crazy genres which i dont care what it is, it sounds nice i play~ anyways this is a draft of the new song I composed. i need a full band. anyone intrested?

my concept of my band is.. Meaningless song with a meaning =D

2. To me, your concept is kind of abstract. You might want to elaborate more on 'meaningless song with a meaning'.
 
nothing can explain it. like you said,its abstract. up to the listener to percieve and judge.

a good example is..

they who fed me, bore me,bleed
as I escape my reality
who am I? I don't know
But sadness and hate I bring along.

to some looking at this lyrics is like.. totally meaningless. although it looks cool..
but those who percieve every word,they would understand it

this can be a song about an unfilial son who are under too much influenced from his friends to the point whereby he find his parents a hindarence from what he wants to achieve and are always in constant quarrels. a sad family..

this can also be a song about a person working in the shadows who wants to revolt against a higher monopoly organisation who holds the power over everyone's life.

there's so many ways of percieving the kind of genre i'm into~
 
That's not genre.. Your genre sounds really like emo. I think you're referring to lyrical direction, which is your whole meaning with no meaning

1) this should be under Open Mic.

2) meaningless song already has no meaning, so by no means it's meaningless to describe a meaningless song without a meaning as is. do you know what I mean

3) and I perceive your genre "Grunge"/acoustic currently until you get a band and mix the influences with the rest of your band members to have another type of genre or gd luck finding band members who have similar interests.do take a listen to Nirvana / Silverchair's earlier songs there is some kinda resemblance.

4) I hope you're not on drugs , own a shotgun or both.

5) Perception of genre is individual , usually by the influences and see which one is more prominent.

6) you are pretty confusing. your thread topic states you need help with looking for members.

you've announced you are gonna start recording an album but you haven't found members. and so far you got only 1 new song.

You mentioned 'my concept of my band' but then again, you don't have band yet. Think it's too premature to 'impose' a concept on a currently non-existent band. Plus - just a little pointer - a band consists of other living beings so it would be nice to show some respect& listen to what they may have to say in regards to your direction. Unless, you're using machines& samplers.

A concept usually applies to the genre of your music NOT your band, I may be wrong though.

Don't get too over-enthusiastic about 'my band' unless you can pay your band members or.. you're Yngwie J.Malmsteen.

As for your current self-composition, it's nothing new but the good news is, you can still work on them to make them unique, otherwise, only you& your friends are gonna end up buying your recordings.

There is a line between being abstract& being non-sensical. I ain't doing a Simon Cowell on you but it's just a reminder to stay rooted to the ground especially if you ain't got wings yet.

Just some advice from a nobody like me.

1)Your vocals could be a little more lively. You sound too monotonous. Think more Alice in Chains unplugged and less dude who is about to jump onto some MRT tracks.
 
@.@ hah most of you got that right. well anwyays all i wanna try out is... composing and playing songs without direction. like very monotonous and loopy~ its not really emo but something like.. Emotionless+ monotonous+ abstract +no lyrical direction yet it gets people to listen to again and again. like u know some songs got some parts of it which u keep hearing and hearing while ignoring the other parts? like u keep fast forwarding to one section of the song then keep listening to that part and keep back wording the aprt and listen to it..

I want that kind of "the song sounds bloody monotonous and boring but i wanna keep listening to it again and again." the only diff is its not just one part of the song but this time, the whole song itself.

legenandary : your song aim fail cos I skipped after hearing 2 seconds of the front and back and realised i rather listen to lady gaga - bad romance cos all I hear is the "tititik tik tik!" going at every bar.

check out Nirvana's "Something in the way" is a good example.
