HELP Yamaha Locking Nut

Aight so the thing is, I have recently acquired a yamaha pacifica 621 that is essentially a HSH strat with FR and while setting up I realized that the locking nut or hole has been stripped (low e and a string) so I cant really screw it in anymore. TO my best and current info, my guitar is pretty old thus to find a replacement would be difficult but Im still putting this out to anyone who has any idea of where to get a nut replacement for a yamaha or whether there are solutions to fix a stripped nut hole. Thanks.:p

a generic locking nut replacement should work? then again there are different widths, so.....

send it down to guitar77 and look for clement, he'll know what to do. My 912jm nut was replaced by him as well. Note the yamaha nut is different from the standard floyd rose. While its not difficult to find one with the same width, the height is different. Shims will need to be
added below the nut for the correct height.

Heres a close up with the replaced nut.

I eventually replaced my bridge as well. The floyd rose special bridge was almost a drop in replacement. Almost as i had to change the
block to a shorter one. 32mm instead of the standard 42mm block that comes standard when you buy a new floyd rose.

Nowadays im kinda reluctant to buy floyd rose guitars second hand.

Hey bro thanks a lot!!:) For the photo and all. Aight I will take it down to guitar 77 and see what can be done. Say, how much did the whole operation cost you?

sorry its been quite a while so i can't remember already. btw i replaced the bridge myself, bought the parts from Usa online. way cheaper that way.

Aight thanks anyway. I really like the sustain from the bridge and it aint really giving me any problems so I guess "If it isnt broken dont fix it" but the nut really has to be changed man. Cant lock = cant divebomb = life sucks.

Most Yamaha guitars that come with their own floating system are like time bombs. once the part spoils we are screwed. However, can replace with alternative parts. just that we might have to do some irreversible mods like drilling. well, all depending on model.

eBay is the next best solution but replacement parts never come cheap. just look at all the used Ibanez lo-pro bridge prices.
