hey guys, i need some help here, could anyone help me please?
a fret on my guitar has died and doesnt produce any right sound when picked and im looking towards refretting my neck ( cause they usually do it by the whole neck right?)

where can i get the refretting done, and how much is it, for a 21 fret fender 57 strat neck? also, im looking to doing some setup, where can i get my guitar set up for adjusting the action properly too? its nice and low now but the 6th string buzzes sometimes cause i think the actions too low.

so...
1. where can i get the refretting done,
2. how much will it be,
3. where can i get the setting up done and
4. how much will it be.

any extra information is more than welcome! thanks everyone!

Hi, i'm keen in getting my guitar set up and refretted too. is there anywhere in the east - central areas where i can get it set up?

look for KC from maestro/zen guitarwerks at peninsula

alot of local bands do their setups there. plainsunset, cardinal avenue, etc.

a setup would cost 50 bucks, refret would be depending on how many frets need to be fixed. best if you bring it down personally on saturday

how about kelvin ho from guitar connection? i asked him about it yesterday and he recommended me to change only 1 fret since my guitar only needs 1 fret changed. he quoted 40-50 for changing 1 fret alone on my maple necked fender. is that a reasonable price?

reasonable is up to you to decide, repairs require effort. he did tell you that he has to level the frets too right? it is possible to change only one fret but re-leveling is a must after refreting cos your other frets might not be of the same height.
