Help with gear :(

Hey guys,
Been playing guitar for 2 years now, I currently have a B.C.Rich ASM1 and a beta aivin 15w amp.
Since its like a budget package, I can't really get much out of it. I'm not really satisfied with what I have now :/
I play mainly avenged sevenfold, and some classic rock. Any ideas on what kind of mid range amps/effects I should I get? Or should I get a new guitar or change pickups? Really need suggestions, despite my budget :) thanks in advance!!

Your guitar is pretty fine. What you need should be a better amp. Guess we can recommend you better if you would let us know the budget.

save a little more to about 400+ territory and you would be able to get some small but brutal tube amps such as jet city 20w =)

I have a Yamaha DG60-112, it is consider one of the best modeling amp around. Has headphone out, speaker mute and line out. Your for only $420, in excellent condition.

Also have a Vox AD30VT..$200. Mint Condition. Has headphone out in build in attenuator.

Oh, phew. Yeah.. I think so too. My budget is like around 350 :)

Why people like to be so thick skin and advertise on this kind of threads?

Threadstarter: You have to try different amps to see which suits your needs better. You can get those modelling amps but chances are, you wouldn't really be digging the tone. If you can raise your budget by a few more hundred, you'd have a wider selection of choices. In any case, go through youtube to see some amp demos and narrow down your selection from there.

I have 12 amps at home.

Based on his budget and playing style, I recommended 2 amps that I have and no use for anymore that might be useful to him. (In fact, I have no use for any of them..I'm a collector)

What is so thick skin abt it? I'm passing off good deal to fellow softies..I did not go yo..here buy my old practise amp..I know that will be inadequate for him in time. I did not try to sell him my bad purchases and recommend him any products that I have not tried out myself...

These are good amp and you know it.

With his budget of $400, do you think there are more versatile amps at this budget than the 2 I have on hand? AC4TV? Jetcity? VHT?

AC4TV...too bright.
Jetcity..7 tubes to replace
VHT..Dark sounding

If you're looking at mid-range affordable quality amps, get a VOX AC30. If you're looking at tube amps, amp heads+cabs it's a whole different story(pricing). [not to mention annoying your neighbours] Then again, buying an expensive shoe doesn't make you run faster.
