hellloooo softies!!

alright, i'm planning to get a solid top acoustic. but i dont know which one!
i've looked around, mainly at the prices, havent got to try any yet. read reviews on the fina 3150 and they were mostly good. havent read much on the takamine though. the uncle at davis said that a close rival for the fina (or the other way around, wouldnt want to anger takamine lovers) would be the G260 or 265 cant really remember. how about the zion21d or yamaha acoustics? share your opinions thanks!

so softies, my budget is around 350? and it doesnt have to come with pickups. Help me man!

thanks!
Marcus

hey bro. i own a Fina acoustic myself. a really great guitar with nice tones. the Takamine is another great guitar too. if i were u, i would probably go for the Takamine(if its within ur budget range) otherwise go for the Fina. i think the main difference is just the sound of it. i think the Fina gives a mellow and smooth sound, whereas the Takamine gives a bright and clear sound(correct me if im wrong:)). its all in preference. the strings u use on the guitar can help u in the tone of the sound too. hope i helped u in a way:-D

I got a takamine G440C! nice guitar, got it from davis for $290 last year if i'm not wrong.

ok i went to penin today. looked around. i tried some of the taks. i love the action of the taks! really nice man! no buzz even when its low. i also tried the fina 3150. nice mellow tone. but a little too mellow for me. oh and i also liked the tanglewood one at living strings. very nice and clear. i think i'll increase my budget to 500-550. most probably i'll get a decent one with a better sound. what do you guys think? maybe i'll get after CNY, use ang pao money heh heh heh..

U can also consider Maestros, like wat bro Dime said. I would suggest that u go look at Ibanezes if ur budget is gonna increase, bcos they have some great acoustics at that price, think the AW90. Yamahas are a viable option, although they aren't what they used to be, in my opinion. Wat u can do is go to Luthermusic at Peninsula Plaza, i assume u saw them? Or else, go look around the back, they shld be there, on the G77 side. They have lots of acoustics frm Yamaha, Takamine and so on. They've knowledgable salesppl there that can help u loads.
