HELP with bridge problem!

hi all!

I currently own an ibanez grg170dx which i think is great for its price. however, what i don't really like about this guitar are its FAT10 bridge and flimsy tuners which cause my guitar to go out of tune frequently. im currently looking at upgrading my bridge to something else like a floyd rose as shown below

i only have two questions:

How do i know whether the floyd rose bridge will fit into my guitar?

Where can i get a cheap around 100+ floyd rose bridge in singapore?

hi bro 8-)

to me, the FAT bridges are alright for players with no excessive whammy use. if you swear by Vai-type wide range whammy, the Floyd Rose (or its alternatives) would be a better pick.

if you seek to have one installed in your currently FAT bridge equipped Ibanez- then it won't be readily accommodating unless some gouging is involved. the current cavity in your guitar was not convceived to fit the FL unit.

also, IMHO it'll be costly if you insist on having the FL in that guitar, it's rather prudent to sell it off & get a guitar with an FL bridge in there (or other alternatives like ibanez's Edge III unit).

thanks! i was thinking about this problem and i have decided to save up some money for a new FR equipped guitar instead....
