hey softies! i just realised somthing. there's negative and positive tips for the adapter. how does that affect my pedals? my pedals are..

guitar--korg dt-10 tuner--boss noise suppressor (send)--vox satchurator--ehx treble booster--ehx microsynth (the one that has purple colour on it)--boss noise suppressor (return)--boss harmonist--line6 Dl4--ehx holy grail+--amp

i was wondering on getting a voodoo pedal power 2 coz i've seen great reviews abt them. but i dont knw whther it can power my pedals.

the pedals that needs power..boss noise suppressor, vox satchurator, ehx treble boost, ehx microsynth, boss harmonist, line6 Dl4, ehx holy grail+

any help fom you guys? thanks!

the positive and negative tips affect your pedals in this way:

if a pedal has a positive-negative tip, and you put the other type of tip, it will not work, and it might get spoilt.

reason:
inside pedals, chances are there are such things called diode or rectifier, which functions as a 1 way current flow device. if the current goes through the correct alignment, it will go through, and if it's the other way, it simply will not go through, and in pedals, it means that it won't work.

on why it might get spoilt: diodes have threshold level. if the potential difference applied backward is big enough, the diode will break down and bust.

for voodoo lab pedal power, yes it can power your pedals. in fact, it is one of the most versatile around if i'm not mistaken. but for different tips (for example line 6 pedals, or electro harmonix pedals), you might need a tip converter. the pp2+ might come with it, considering its price, but if not, you have to buy it separately.

ohh okay..thanks! so the voodoo has a AC or a DC output? if my pedals have a DC input, does it mean it is compatible with the voodoo if the voodo has DC outputs? or isit the other way around? same goes for AC input pedals, do they work with same or opposite currents?

if a pedal has a DC input, only put a DC power supply into it. likewise, for AC input pedals.

failing to use the appropriate pedal will render the pedal not functioning in the best case scenario, and damage the pedal in the worst scenario.

voodoo power, i think, has both, but you should just google it.
