Guys, need some help here. My tuning head is very loose. Then when I take a closer look, the plastic or rubber thing is half gone. Will it affect the guitar? I haven't put in the strings yet.

it MAY affect the one string's ability to be tuned or stay in tune perhaps. If it wont allow you to tighten your string then you gota change it out.

The picture is on the way but it's quite blur. Where can I get the rubber/plastic thing? But it's so small, I don't think it can stretch.

Ya, I think is the washer. Can I just change the washer alone? I don't wish to spend a lot of money on new tuning heads

i think you can, if you can get it out, and in as well. if your guitar's a keeper. and isnt able to keep its tune well, you might want to get replacement heads. its a worthwhile investment imo

I just got the guitar less than 24 hours ago. But my tuning heads is abit different from my Les Paul. THis tuning head, the screws is at the side. My les paul is below. Maybe I post some pictures later

I got it second hand. Anyway here are the pictures.

I want to cahnge tuning heads but can I change the tuning heads with the screws below the head?

i stand corrected. what i was suggesting was a change of tuning machines. but that shouldnt be a problem to fix. get a washer of appropriate size, unscrew the head (that thing you twist to tune) take off the black and translucent one, replace and put back.

How to un screw the tuning head? I tried but I doesn't work. Anyway anyone knows where to get that locally? I don't to pay shipping fees just for stupid thing.

DONT unscrew the one on the back of the headstock. unscrew the one on the knob itself. guitar workshop's at bras basah complex. one little corner. near art friend i think

If you unscrew that, the tuning head will drop off. Unscrew the screw on the tuning head right? Anyway I have other question. I have an Epihpone Les Paul Standard but I want to change the tuning heads to the ones on Gibson guitar. But My Epi only 1 hole each for each of the tuning heads, but the ones on Gibson needs two holes, so I must drill one more hole each for each tuning heads?
