Hi guys, finding for your expertise advise. I am using an Ibanez RG 370dx, it has tremelo system. I wanna change my bridge pickup so i bought a Seymour Duncan JB model SH-4, but then later i came to find out theres a TB-4 model and i find out its designed for guitars with tremelo system. So now i havent install it yet on my guitar coz i am not sure if i can exchange it or not but then i wanna know if theres alot of diff between this 2 pickups becoz if not i juz would carry on to install the SH-4 on my guitar. Guys please do advise. Thank you.

I have the same guitar as you and I am using the SH4 Trembucker. Seymour Duncan use the term "Trembucker" while Dimarzio use the term "F-Spaced" for Fender, Ibanez... A regular humbucker will be used with Gibson etc. You should use the trembucker as the bridge spacing directly align to the pole spacing on the pickups. You want the pole pieces to be directly under the strings. If you are using the normal humbucker, the poles will be "out of space" with the strings as shown below. I hope my explanation helps.

There are some of us, though, who don't really bother about the spacing. It might not give the optimum tone but some trembuckers quite sought after and hard to get, hence the "bo-chapness" for that minor difference in tone.

I do have to emphasize "some"...
