Hi.. I've got a question... sometimes when I bent my string.. after a while it will become out of tune.. like nearly always.. is there anythin that i can do?

Did you just restring your guitar? It'll take a while for the string to settle. Or if you use a floyd rose the strings will be out of tune quite often, unless you have a locking nut.

Nope.. It's been quite a while since I re-string.. its like nearly always happen when i bent the last 3 string or e G string... My friends suggested me to change e headstock tuner? cos it could be e one dat causin it.. But i'm still unsure, any suggestion?

could be that you restringed it a bit wrongly such that the string slips out of the tuning hole. Or it could be that the tuning machines are a little old and need replacement. or you can try tuning it one step up and doing bends on that tuning for a while, and retune it after. If that still doesnt work then the problem should be with the stringing or the tuning pegs

It may be because during your restring, you did not string it to the tuners correctly. The first time i restrung my guitar, i anyhow coiled it at the top. Resulting in the same problem as you. Hehe. Maybe it could be because of this. :)

If not, the problem should lie with the tuners. What guitar are you using anyway?

I;m using J n D Les Paul copy.. The way I restring is that, I just put e string thru e tuner and starts windin it.. is it wrong? if it is.. Is there any instructional video??

yeah u cant anyhow wind the string. if its not wound properly, chances are it will slip and go out of tune. it could be the case here.

u dont understand the diagram? the most important is step 1. just do that and wind. make sure u wind over the string section that is pointing up.

So.. It's just like making a loop around the tuner 1st before we start tighthening e guitar string?

i didnt really catch what u said, sorry. but why dont u just take ur guitar, get a fresh pack of strings and refer to the diagram while u restring. really it isnt that difficult to do.

oh and i have another tip. when u remove the strings, take pencil lead, which is graphite and rub it into the nut. this will help the strings stay in tune, not a whole lot, but still significant.
