OK. So what I got instead is a CAD U37. I won't be able to compare with the samson but I guess this mic is OK. Though one thing is for sure, if you do not have a completely soundproof room. Then this mic will not be for you.
Pocasting should be ok. As I get a lot of positive comments from people I chat with. Stating that I sound like a radio DJ. That is expected from a condenser mic.
But for recording, you really need to have a soundproof room. I was about planning to return this to sim lim cause i'm having a hellish time recording. Can't figure out why the heck the sound seems distorted even at the lowest gain level, close to zero. I thought the product was just lame. But when I moved the most soundproof room I can go to record (AKA the Bathroom) Wala, recording was now fine. (just mind the bathroom reverb)
One thing I did not like with this is that it did not come with any software. Unlike the softpre for samson. So one you plug in the mic, you will be using the normal windows like C-Media volume control.
I plan to make a review of this so you can all hear first hand the sound. At least this way we can compare it to other products.
