Help me decide

Okay…I cannot decide between Gibson Les Paul standard raw power with EMG and standard 60s Les Paul.

I want classic rock tone like GnR, Aerosmith etc and like 60 slim neck but not really fancy about paint finish neck. In the other hand, I would like to try Les Paul with EMG. The problem is I have never played Raw Power before and neck is not either 50 or 60 accordingly to merchant (I am buying online). But I like raw finish neck.

I know if I like EMG, I should go for RP but the problem is I like both and my budget allow me only one. RP is 250 S$ less than standard 60.

I would like to hear you guys comment on it. Thanks for your time

give priority to the body/neck first
pickup can always be swapped out at very little $$

Ratboy, thats the good point.

Does anyone here have experience in both Les Paul with EMG and stand Les Paul? How do you compare the sounds? Such as EMG sound sterile or smooth liquid or huge on Les Paul etc. thanks

what amp are you using? i wouldnt use EMGs for a slash/joe perry tone. both are using low output pups.

currently using Roland Cube30, going to change it to small tube amp with decent OD.

yep, EMG is not suitable for Slash/Joe's tone but I like Zakk Wylde too.
