I've been offer a ibanez gsa60 at the price of $200.
I am a starter with guitar. Is it valued for money?
Can it play music like instrumental rock/ punk rock?
What else would i need excluding the guitar?

Drop me an advise
Greatly appreciated.

hi there

im a beginner for electric guitar but what i heard from ppl,any guitar with do

only if u want to play punkrock song, buy a guitar pedal that suit u....

i ever play nirvana shit with a metalzone pedal...

n its sound not so bad...

try it n dont forget to change the pickups

cheersss................

value for money lies with the condition of the re-sale item, generally. if it's too beat up, cracked headstock, etc. you should pass...

the guitar's suitability to fulfill a certain music genre isn't brand specific. for punk/ instrumental stuff, you need need a guitar receptiive to distortion, which lies more with the pickup/ amplifier. you should try this guitar & hear its appeal to you.

the average Ibanez (GIO or otherwise) are equipped with pickups which are drive/ distortion-friendly.

it is the thing that gives u the sound of the guitar.

which also means , no pickups , no sound.

different pickups are for different types of sounds as they have different EQs due to the magnet and number of coils ( correct me if im wrong , nt too sure abt this )

but stock pickups will be fine if u are just starting out =)

there is no rule of thumb. Different types of pickups gives you different types of sounds.

some ppl like single coils , some like humbuckers etc. Its more of what u like :)

if you're gonna buy that guitar, ask a friend who knows about guitar to go with you to make sure that everything works fine.

since the gsa 60 is of humbucker-single-single pickup configuration, it suits with almost all kinds of music. but u may wonder which pickups to use for a song, since there's 3 pickups in the guitar you're interested in.

the neck pickup (single coil) is one u usually use to play rhythm, while the mid (single coil) and bridge (humbucker, in gsa60's case) are the ones u use to play leads and solos.

however, some people have their own tastes to play diff things with any pickup selection. so it's up to you
