Hi,

I need help! I bought a digital piano a few weeks ago. Suddenly, the bottom of ALL the keys looked like they have been stained. I have no idea why! I have been keeping it in good condition, closing the cover after playing.

Any help from experts out there? :(

Here is a pic.. sorry the image quality may not be very good. But as you see, there are stains on they key. It is more obvious in reality and it is affecting all the piano keys.. not just the ones shown.

What s the model?

You've tried cleaning with very gentle soap solution in a damp cloth?

If that doesn't work, try melamine sponge (aka white 'magic' sponge) but make sure it is damp and apply very gently as it can cause scratches to shiny surface!

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip! I bought Casio px-850. I don't know if it is a quality defect because most of the areas that have stains were areas I have never touch. Anyone experienced this before?

I will try the magic sponge,, normal ones didn't work.

Thanks silverbeast! the magic sponge worked. However, I still have no idea how it occurred in the first place...

Most welcomed. But remember to be very gentle when using this sponge as it can create matt scratch marks when too much force is applied.
