Heart Pain!

Help! I just dropped my guitar n im feeling the pain right now. The strap just released at the tail end of my guitar and sigh the rest just happened....

Tentatively put a layer of transparent tape to protect it atm.

The ding is major wif a little wood exposed through the sunburst layer. Is there anything tat can be done? Or does my guitar nid an overhaul? Another thing, i got it from soft at 150 bucks. Is it advisable to bring it to a guitar tech/ shop for repairs? Thx for any advice.

Well that was also on my mind. It kinda gave me an artsy feel. But its my first and only guitar. So any advice on the repairs part?

erm when i play my first guitar, i kept on banging the headstock to the amplifier and the table. there are damn a lot of dings on it already. i will just sweat on the ding part if i were you to make it look more natural.

Guitar is a musical tool man, not a museum piece.

Repairs, if done, would cost absolute minimum $40 bucks. vs a $150 guitar, that's not odds I would call.

The strap gave way, huh? Sounds like what happened to my guitar. You need a straplock. As for the ding, you can choose to ignore it like me (mine was recent too...my heart still aches) but if you're really bothered by it, then maybe you can bring it down to for a repair.

i believe he would need a strip+refinish and maybe some repairs on the body structure. That's definately gonna cost more than 150 bucks

so yeah but atleast u have a reliced guitar now..Xp
in the future when you look at the guitar youll be thinking..
wow i really put alot of effort in this guitar...

and owh yeah buy strap lock for your guitar ...
so it wont fall when your playing your guitar standing up in the future and maybe you can do 360 flips with that guitar when its installed XP

first guitar? more dings more sentimental value! all (2 only =.-) my guitars have dings. they make the guitars mine. also, with dings, resell value drop, make me reluctant to sell. not that i plan to sell any of my guitars. no way.
