As above.

Mine's a Maestro SD-2.

Is it worth repairing?

Below is the image of the broken guitar.

Thanks..

IMHO get a new one.

gluing it back might cost you close to half the price of that guitar. you could sell the guitar for a small sum though.

I wonder who would buy a guitar with a broken headstock, though, no matter how cheap... This is the kind of damage I really fear. In my opinion, if you really like the guitar, it doesn't matter whether it costs more to fix than the initial cost of the guitar. If you like the guitar very much, get it fixed.

And yeah, what happened?

Let me guess. You let it lean against the wall and it fell?

Lol same happened to my acoustic. Almost exact same spot where it broke.

Get your strings out nao. I fixed mine by myself and my guitar is back to its original playing state, except the cosmetic condition.

Ya, you should take off the strings A.S.A.P.

there are online tutorials for fixing this kinda headstock breaks if you google it. your guitar looks easy to repair as it seems to be a clean break. basically involves stuffing alot of glue inside the broken headstock, clamping the broken headstock, and sanding/refinishing.

yup.

no idea what happened. i guess it fell.

but it was in the guitar case before it was damaged. ouch ouch.

Maestro hospital charges 80 and above for headstock.

neck reset is quite expensive too.

wonder mine classifies under which category?

Search youtube. There are quite a number of videos on how to glue a headstock.

You'll find that most of them use lots of wood glue (check DIY shops) and clamps after clamps.
