Heads

ranking eh. i dont quite like paiste's though. i have a pst 3 crash myself and the sound is really shallow, well thats what you get for 90 dollars. hm regarding the pst 3 and 5 compared to samatyas. my my you cant even get close to comparing pst 3. pst 5 will definitely be better of course. but 500+ compared to 650 dollars. just save up a bit more? in my opinion you shoul get the samatyas. they are great for every use. i honestly feel that you should save up, dont blow it on cymbals that are around your 200 dollar budget. maybe get samatyas? paiste should really stick to their classics and not go economy.

bliss: could youhelp me check out the price of the heads? haha thanks a lot.

Any specific heads ur lookin at? Jus a note, most of the Genera series are available but those tat im lookin for such as the Hydraulic and Rock AF are out. Yes, all tis are snare batter heads..

Nope they dun carry Remo. Genera Dry has only 1 ply wheareas HD Dry(Heavy Duty) is 2-ply. And cos of the additional layer for HD, it is more defined and last longer. If im not mistaken, its around $30.

hey people, would tightening the snare sides too much cause the skin to be easily dented?

Depends on how much is too much but generally heads are able to take a beating when crank up high, so no worries, unless of cos, ur trying to crank up as tight as a marching snare, then u may have problems, hell ur shell mite collapse even..

I'm also thinking between samatyas and PST5s, don't really understand the difference though..
