have anyone watched constantine?[spoiler alert]

the term "using religion" to fuel refers to Nazism.he wanted to create Nazism as a religion so as to fuel his part in the war.he did not like the christians because they went against Nazism in which he tried to convert them by installing a Nazi bishop in charge of the christian church

Some people likes to state things out seriously.

Anyway, yeah, you've just repeated it again. I've got the message.

Personally, I'm abit of an anarchist, I like movies like Constantine, or the Sandmand comics, or novels by Neil Gaiman.

I can't stand people who follow blind faith. It's through the process of questioning that you can find satisfying for yourself

You'd be silly to take a Hollywood film, designed for a box-office killing so seriously. It's fiction, that's all it is.
Kinda like those narrow-minded peeps who get upset over the Da Vinci Code. LOL

and yes, Hitler was rumoured to have possessed the spear which killed Christ. It was never found.

And Gabriel wanted to make humans more worthy of God's love, by subjecting them through 'pain and suffering'. Which in this case, will be t he hell on earth. Because he realised that it is during difficult times that humanity shows its true nobility.
In short, he/she kinda unhappy that humans can get to Heaven just by repenting la, even if they committed heinous crimes.

And yes, the Satan sucked. He's supposed to be the most beautiful angel.

And did anybody stay back after the credits for the 'hidden' ending?

I haven't seen a good movie for so long now. I can't wait for HG2G to be release, may 6th , my b-day. W00t. Constantine made me want to vomit. Never has there been a movie with a worse premise.

I love the book...

Constantine is decent lah... by no means, excellent though. It has been, of course, quite removed from its original premises of a blond Englishman who looks like Sting. Overall, it was still fun but there were too many CGI scenes tt killed the greater sense of enjoyment for me. The ending was definitely a cut better than most Hollywood endings.

If those folks who are interested in movies who explore the theme of Heaven and Hell, the eterna battle and stuff like this, check out Hal Hartley's 60 min film, "The Book Of Life" at www.possiblefilms.com/projects/book_of_life/. Watched it back in the Singapore Film Fest in 1999. The only audience I have seen so engaged while watching movies other than the "Book Of Life" audience was the one watching The Two Towers... Most folks gave the film a standing ovation even though the director wasn't present.

The synosis:

Jesus (Martin Donovan) shows up in New York on the last day of the century with his attractive young assistant, Magdalene (singer P.J. Harvey). An intelligent, well-dressed and soft-spoken man, he is nevertheless a double agent. Sent by his father to perform the Last Judgment and initiate the end of the world, Jesus is having second thoughts. He does not wish to destroy the world and brings down upon himself the violent wrath of God, the Devil, and human beings all at once.
