so i dunno its like Gabriel and the halfbreed pakat to release the son of satan into earth to make humans suffer? what made Issabelle kill herself? Whats the use of that spear thing? And Lucifer actually didnt know what was happening until Constantine brought him down? (or up rather) But then again, Lucifer, being an evil being himself, wouldnt he be rather happy to see the humans suffer?

It's basically a movie with no meaning. The most meaningful thing you'd get out of it is probably 'don't smoke'.

And Lucifer did want people to suffer. He came down when the guy slashed his wrist thinking he could bring him down, but it ended up he could go to heaven because he was self sacrificial.

So Lucifer took his blackened lungs out to make sure he could live, and not go to heaven.

beats me cause i'm also equally as confused as the rest.basically the storyline is twisted in such a way that it mixes christianity wif superheros.


but wad i do know is that in christianity beliefs , committing suicide is a mortal sin(serious sin) because God gave each and everyone of us the gift of life and only God himself has the power to take it away as and when he feels like it(that's when u die).it is juz like playing God when u take away ur own life.for constantine , he began to see ghostly beings when he was young and he decided to end his life when he was young.although he died and was sent straight to hell and apparently for some weird reason he was brought back to life by the devil(i think).having been given the opportunity to live again , constantine decided to go into exorcism so dat he could "buy his way into heaven" which means he wanted to cast out demons and devils juz so dat he could please God in heaven and when he dies again , he hopes God might allow him into heaven....

in the show , Earth is sandwiched in between heaven and hell.angels in heaven and demons in hell.no angel is allowed to cross into Earth while no devil is also allowed to cross into Earth.by acheiving this , this is wad they call the "balance".angels are only allowed to take the form of human beings and devils are also to take the form of human beings.the angel beings guide us to live GOOD lives while the devil beings guide us to live EVIL lives.this balance is upset when suddenly demons start appearing on Earth threatening the "balance" now there's where constantine's exocism work gets busy during this period of time.casting out demons and deporting them back to hell cause they have upset the balance.

well dats all i know....i become confused from the part where angel gabriel decided to take the spear and kill the unborn demon child in isabelle onwards....hey i tot angels were good beings???? killin is a sin stated in the 10 commandments handed down by God to Moses!!!!!

i'm juz tryin my very best to try and explain the storyline to the non christians because i feel dat u first need to know a bit of background knowledge of the christian faith before fully understanding the storyline

the first thing dat ran thru my mind about this was "what the hell was the spear who killed jesus during his cruxifiction doing in Mexico????"
it would be more realistic if the spear was found on a desert in Palestine cause that's where jesus was cruxified.they should start off the show wif some middle eastern guy findin the dagger and instantly getting possessed by the spear.buying an air ticket all the way to America to find and kill isabelle or maybe he manages to get pass airport customs and hijacks an airplane bound for somewhere else and the plane crashes somewhere near the place where isabelle lives and everyone dies except him cause he has the spear wif him which makes him immortal.den from there onwards the proper storyline continues....

remember the scene where constantine's aide dips the cross into the water tank and den wooooooowwwwwww "holy water" comes sprinkling from those sprinklers on the celings onto the devil beings and they all are instantly "washed away". talk about showers of blessings mannnnnn :lol:

this is the theory that i summed up lol.....

gabriel's wasnt happy with the humans because god love em all so much. So she wanted to make em suffer. She pakat with the halfbreed demon, maybe its that guy in the smart suit who got beaten up by the knuckle-duster-wielding Constantine.

I dont know the connection between the twins though or anything that has got to do with them being telepathic , or why Isabelle killed herself. meh.I dont understand the use of the spear, tho i know what it makes its user godlike, thats about it.

if u watched The Exorcist : The beginning (which i watched it 2day) , there is this fella in the mental hospital and when the ex-priest came to pay him a visit for some investigation , he carved the nazi symbol on his chest wif the knife or smth and there was hell lots of blood on his chest and den he sliced his neck wif the knife and blood came gushing out of his throat.apparently he was being possessed by the devil and den died on the spot.

wads wif hollywood making a big deal associating the nazi symbol wif evil spirits eh? i got a feeling dat since exocist the beginning came before constantine , hollywood must have ran out of ideas to spice up their storyline for constantine dat they had to borrow some ideas from exorcist the beginning....

Hitler is commonly perceived as being the anti christ and he was also known to be a bit of a seeker of religious artifacts, so the symbology in the beginning is to just hint that maybe he gained power only through the spear. Probably the comic has better details.

Gabriel is the right hand angel of god, but in this movie he didn't feel that humans lived up to his love. So he wanted to make mankind be more worthy of his love, and the only way he saw that happening would be the triumph of humankind through adversity, which is why he helped with bringing in satan's kid.

To bring the kid into the world, they needed a vessel of great telepathic power, so they decided on the twins, one of them killed herself, and the other was next in line to be the sausage mcmuffin.

Whether he wanted to be anti-christ i dunno lah...but there were rumours that the spear of destiny was with him...hence the nazi flag in the movie.

Anyway, Gabriel is not essentially bad. Just misguided. You should read the constantine comics or Sandman by Neil Gaiman. He poses alot of interesting questions...about religion and stuff. Yeah, it was pretty "funny" when lucifer had enuff of shit and banish everyone from hell and locked it up to open a bar.

Anyway, don't read the comics/novels if you're a narrow minded religious person. Gotta be open minded.

This movie applys christian ideology to it,

1. Gabriel was jealous towards the love of god towards human until he sacrifice his son jesus christ to spare our sins. THis previlege only applys to human and not othe beings.

2. Isabelle killed herself because she knows her itme has come where the devil will use her a higher phykic power being and cross over to earth. Therefore, to stop thsi form happening. she sacrificed herself and comit suicide which leads her to hell.


3. They sya the spear was the actuall weapon who killed jesus christ and not the torturing
SO what kills the son of god and bring him out of this world will give live to the son of Satan and bring him unto earth.

4. Lucifer's Son wants to take over from his dad lar, of course if he were to do so. He wont let him be aware.

if u have learnt history for O levels , Hitler was both anti jewish and anti christ.hitler did not like the idea of christians being more loyal to God than to himself.instead he decided to install a Nazi bishop as head of the christian church.the christians saw nazism as the direct opposite of the christian faith and saw it as an enemy to their faith.hitler decided to deal wif the christians in the most severe ways possible....they were either killed or sent to concentration camps.....
