Anyone out there knows where i can buy this gadget..... last time i heard, luthermusic and city music have it out of stocks. or is there any1 would like to sell their bass attack.

wah 160$ fer the bass attack...kinda ex compared the luthermusic's price...so what u think of the gadget pyro? is it worth buying? How far can a bassist maximise their playing with the help of the bass attack?

If youre totally uhappy with your passive bass's sound live or at recording, go for it. By unhappy i mean, you feel that its not loud enough, not enough lows or highs for your taste etc. But dont expect this box to act as a clean/fuzz stomp box. Its not easy to balance both volume settings effectively.

how abt active bass. what kinda effect of improvement can i supply to the active bass sounding.

as far as i remember. You gotta keep the Shape button on, unless you desire a great difference in volumes. For active basses, perhaps if youre not satisfied with your onboard treble boost, the bright control might be the fine-tuning answer to very high frenquencies. But remember its hissy. Also there's a Harmonic control. It does something complex to every note you play, something about 200hz 400hz steps etc etc above the fundamental. Dont ask me i blur. All in all, they claim to emulate a tube amp's warmth. So go TRY it to be sure. Gd luck.

I didn't really like it. Just didn't have that feel for me. You can try for yourself if you want. Try it on something unbiased. Use a cheap bass to try it on and a small practise amp. You'll get what it has to offer. If it sounds good on that kind of set up, it'll sound better on better set ups.

i think it sounds a bit sterile with the harmonics on... it's got the drive, but no warmth. i added in an ehx whitefinger in lamp mode and now it sounds pretty damn nice :D don't bother using the harmonics for distortion though... it'll sound pretty shite if you do.

yo hi guys...was juz wondering....which 1 is better a sansamp DI box or the bass attack? what is the difference and which one would u rather use if given a choice.

tried it with my ibanez sr3000e. it's cool, depending on how you tweak this mean machine.
come to think of it, i enjoyed the attack pedal.

There's this website www.harmony-central.com. It actually gives you lots of user reviews on musical equipment and they really have a huge collection of reviews on a huge amount of equipment. Definitely can find out more about the harke as well as the sansamp. Cheers.

sad to say , HC has nearly super positive ( rating of 7 and above on almost every product rated)

its useful but not exactly very reliable in the sense that the opinion raised on it may be faked , skewed or unrealistic. i suggest u take things from HC with a pinch of salt and try to test it out and trust your own ears.
