Hardwire RV-7 reviews?

Hi softies, I am in need of some help from users of the Hardwire RV-7. I am thinking of swapping my nova reverb for the RV-7 due to the convenience of not needing an extra12v power supply, but I also want to know if it is worth it in terms of tone especially in the plate reverb setting.

Your help will be deeply appreciated. Btw just wanna know if sweelee is the only place to get hardwire stuff locally?

locally yes. but do check out PGS or tonefactor. their international shipping rates are decent.

Or non-existant if you have a big enough order with PGS. Just have to factor in the GST to see if you get any savings.

ordered mine from amazon, shipped via vpost and iirc the price is comparable or even cheaper than the second hand prices on this forum.

like whitestrat i use hall and spring most of the time, dont really use the plate reverb.
The spring reverb is a little bit too 'in your face' though.

Hmmmm seems like it is a better option to get it through PGS or other online sources.....haiz what a pity......I was hoping i could just walk it get one and get back to playing with minimal waiting time lol. So i guess that prices charge locally is exuberant.....hmmm hall and spring.....well at least the hall is still working which is great......i dun use spring much to speak of.

Btw it seems to me that after hearing clips on youtube the RV-7 sounds pretty bright, any idea if it can be mellowed out? In terms of the quality of reverb can anyone provide a comparison between the RV-7 and nova reverb?

If the reviews by u guys r favorable i will have to find some time from my horrible schedule to hear it out myself at sweelee before i pull the trigger. Thanks guys!

I much prefer the Lexicon on the RV-7 to the Nova. I don't know about what hifikiller was talking about though. I don't feel that the spring is "in-your-face". I matched it against my Fender amps' real spring reverb, and it replicated the effect perfectly.

Hmmmmmm i see.......well i guess i will have to make a trip down to sweelee then to let my ears do the jugement........btw any idea how much it is going for at sweelee? Just curious and wanna see if it is worth getting it there.

Just curious have anyone bought anything through music123 before?? The RV-7 seems to be selling at a really good price but anyone knows if it ships to singapore?
