Guitar Cover of the Maroon 5 song "Harder To Breathe" off the 'Songs About Jane' live CD. This can also be used as a lesson, i think you can see the fingerings and all pretty clearly.. Pretty simple song with a catchy riff! I forgot about the instrumental part in the middle.. Ended up with a sloppy improvisation but oh well! All done in one take. There's some unintentional harmonics too, oops.. Ran the gain a tad too high for the strat to take it.
The guitar used is a Fender Road Worn 50s Strat in 2 colour sunburst. It's got dimarzio area pickups in it. Dimarzio area 58 in the neck and middle and an area 61 in the neck. For those familiar with lincoln brewster, this is his pickup set. Also the tone pot wiring is different from a normal strat. The middle tone port is wired to the neck pick up and the other tone port is wired to the bridge pickup. These pickups are amazing. I'm usually not a fan of noiseless pickups because I think they take away something from the sound, but these are just amazing! Plugged directly into the Fractal Audio Axe FX II which is connected via USB direct to the MacBook Pro for recording.
On the fractal Audio Axe FX II i used either the Euro Uber or the Solo100 lead, can't fully recall! These amps are.. a Bogner Uberschall and a Soldan SLO 100 Lead channel.
The thing dangling down the side of my t shirt is one side of my In Ear Monitors, a pair of Westone UM3x, which I was using to listen to/play along to the original track.
