Hanging my guitar on the wall

Hi fellow softies. That's what I plan to do. Any idea where and what holders to get to drill into my wall? And please advise on the position in which my guitar should be placed so as for safety reasons for both humans and the guitar itself thanks.

PS: It's a lespaul, so I can't drill any holes in it.

Hmmm ok thanks guys! :D

>>fenderrules: Lol nah I wanna put it up on display, seldom play it haha. Taking up floorspace I dont have anyway :D

whatever you do, don't put it above your bed! i was in this situation where i was sleeping, my leg got stuck in my guitar strap and then i gave a hard kick without thinking...

Guitar's neck strain!!!

Personally, its not advisable if you really treasure your pieces as I think that this kind of method of holding a guitar might pose a great stress to the joinings unless something is used in addition to support the base of the guitar as well!!
Just my 2 cts.
Thanks & good luck!

Well there's also the type of stand that grips the guitar around the neck just beolw the headstock, such that the guitar is pointed vertically upwards. Most guitar shops seem to use this kind of stand to hang their guitars on the racks, so i'm guessing this might probably be the best option. I'm guessing as the neck is vertical, there is no need for a side supprt pressing on the neck, so this stand won't strain the neck as much.

I hang most of the guitars using guitar hangers (above my vacant double-deck bed) due to the lack of space and been doing it for years. So far, nothing bad happened to them (some of them even retained their tunings after being there for some time lol).

I got all my hangers from Ebay

Hmmm... Yeah I think these should do fine LOL. Though they look real painful to the neck. Like sentencing the guitar to death by hanging. But all shops do it. Thanks.
