Guys I need your opinion about Singapore Music Industry

My fellow players, I need your opinion about Singapore's music Industry..
Do you think it is progressing well? Does the government give much support to local musicians like us?

Yar. Alot of exposure sia. Every 10 min, we have 2 Singapore Idol advertisement that just goes on and on. :roll:

the government is not giving a lot of support to non-commercial musicians...

gigs and all are all done by other kind people who's driving the local scene more than anything else... not to say that the govt aren't kind... but imo, i think really couldn't give a damn bout things which dun bring them $$$ in 1 way or another...

and why should they? they need to justify all the taxpayers money that they spend. it's not easy to justify spending lots of taxpayers money on something that will not help the country economically.
