Hello. We are currently a four-piece looking for a more rounded and fuller sound. Hence, we are looking for a guitarist and a keyboardist; getting a guitarist will be a priority.
We cover quite a bit of the Rolling Stones so that will obviously be a good reference. We need a guitarist who does not over-play as he will need to interact with our current guitarist. He must be able to play rhythm and better if he can do both rhythm and lead. He also should have both style and versatility - can play both acoustic/classic and electric - even better if he can play slide, resonator etc.. Again, the Stones is a reference - Ronnie Woods and Keith Richards are obvious influences we're looking for.
As for the keyboardist, he needs to be alright with playing in an understated manner most of the time since most songs will be guitar-driven. But when a song is piano-driven, he needs to have the steady hands and confidence too. We don't really need effects, just various types of piano and organ available in most good keyboards.
Here are some songs we have been jamming, for your reference.
Dead Flowers - The Rolling Stones
Let It Bleed - The Rolling Stones
Honky Tonk Women - The Rolling Stones
Molly's Chamber - Kings of Leon
In My Life - The Beatles
Have You Ever Seen the Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Crazy - Gnarls Barkley
Cold Day In the Sun - Foo Fighters
We have originals in the works and we are looking to play gigs and record; going for the long run despite eventual hurdles like NS (very soon for one of us).
Do hit me up if you are interested to know more, thanks for your time.
