Hello, what do you guys think about Guitar Workshop? The corner shop on the same level as Swee Lee Bras Basah.
Do they do good repairs/customisations? Opinions? Suggestions?

I think the guitars they sell there are pretty inexpensive, I saw the B.C Rich Mick Thomson Signature Warlock going for only 400. First-hand too!
Davis sells it for 800, plus it's not even the signature model.
Hmm?

The same level as brash bassah SL....The one with the godins and smarvo amps? if it is , it is Ranking Sports. Don think they do customisation and repairs.

GW is at the corner la... behind Arts Friend...

Yea, they do good work. They did some custom wiring for one of my guitars and it turned out fantastic, so was the same for the installation of a tremsetter another.

They do customizations but i suggest you to talk to them personally if you're ever interested.

Cool, I quite fancy that place as well. The Indian guy's called Lawrence and I think he is pretty damned skilled.

Do note that some of the guitars on display are second-hands. They buy guitars from the customers.

yea, that lawrence guy's really good. having my guitar resprayed by him. updates me on the progress and all.......and ive seen the body recently.really gd job. not completed yet tho. but the shops a gd one to go to. talk to em and discuss what u wanna get done, he'll be really patient and discuss with you nicely and run through the processes and all so u know what goes on with ur axe.

Guitar Workshop was the one at Ming Arcade for many years when Francis Poh & Kelvin were running it.... later Kelvin spllit to open up Guitar connection now at excelsior while guitar workshop has opened show at Bras Basah.... they have been in the biz for a while primarily as a 2nd hand dealer / repair co...I guess based on remarks in this thread, they are starting to sell 1st hand stuff as well now ??

old grandfather stories for you all... I prefer dealing with Kelvin doe...

my 2 cents worth... 8)

Yeap.. I got a job offer there. haha

But no time la.. school.

They do have Squier guitars. Very very good prices.

They also bring in guyatone pedals. the overdrive and the chorus. I must say the overdrive is pretty darn good sounding.

yep...back in the day... only a handful of music shops ...now soooo many I guess all gotta slash prices & minimize profits to compete..hey..betta selection / prices for us ...the end user rite? hahaha... 8)

Guitar workshop

I prefer Francis & Lawrence From Guitar workshop Than Kelvin. They are more friendly and willing to help U out. After all, Francis is the one that start Business firsat before Kelvin. This is my throught and no offence pls.

oktorock....well one man's meat is another man's... I have my reasons as U have yours....

Any other old tymers out there remember the old TRIO Music that was set up by that alummni year's before - Yeah Raymond (main share holder) had good service too...
