Hey,
anyone can help me?. I'm using D'ddario strings gauge 0.09-0.42. My tuning is dropped d-flat. The string are a bit loose. Any suggestions on which gauge is tighter? 0.10 or 0. 11?. My strings always gets rusty. Any solutions on how to get rid of the rusts?.

it happens to .009 set in general- if you tune down, it'll be slack. best to upgrade strings to a thicker set. i'm using the .0095 set which is between the .009 & .010 for slight downtunig.

wipe your strings down after each play & before storage. string cleaning fluid helps to remove dirt organic fluid off your strings (this corrodes your strings). some people don't believe in using such applications because they believe that strings would be disposed off after all, but it sure beats playing a dirty set each time you start playing.

yup. there are many string cleaning fluid types/ brands. you'd get good selections from Davis/ Yamaha's combo shop. 8)

i've stopped playing accoustic but still re-string for friends- still think the GHS Bronze series will please those who are after clarity. i get best results with a set of .010 or thicker. anything below this would make the guitar feel very flimsy.
