Personally i thing if dings, scratches and paint chips are inevitable if its your only guitar.Especially paint chips i doubt the guitar repair shop could match the color.....forget about the dings etc ah bro, it makes the guitar looked ala "relic"....;)

sry hijack ur thread a bit. how much would it cost to change my tone and volume pots? think they are pretty much corroded

As in the knobs? I just changed mine recently. Bought new ones for like $4 each and DIY to replace it. Quite easy if you do it right, either just plug out and pop a new one back in, or unscrew it depending on the guitar.

Anyway, I think for repairs can go to Dan's at peninsular. I was recommanded to that place. Not sure if they do repair dings or what though. Repaired my input jack for $15, think that's quite cheap.

TYMC does repairs. You can try them out. I repaired my pedal there and so far theres no problem ever since.

and i was asking about how and where can i repairs my guitar dings and paint chip

You can't say that it's exactly a scam, just that it falls under the "basic set-up" category of guitar workshop which costs 50 dollars. Definitely not an honourable thing to do. I'm just guessing on this though. I personally HATE that shop.

To threadstarter: you can actually DIY to repair your paintchips. There's some helpful sites on the net. For those major chips just leave them alone. There's no shop in Singapore with proper repair equipment that focuses on guitars as they are just too expensive and the market too small. The closest I would think would be those car servicing and maintenance shops.

It entirely depends on how much you value your guitar though. Having it professionally redone won't be cheap.

Dolwood, where are u located?
always good to know of one more place/person I can go to when there's a problem with my guitar...

its possible to repair dings but i wouldnt recommend it. it might not be sucessful 100% of the time

buffing paint is definately easier (unless your guitar is some exotic colour)

although i hate dings and stuff, i cant do much but try to console myself that dings have mojo
