Guitar protector/pickguard

I saw this thing in one of the guitar mag, cant recall which one , its a guitar protector kinda like ur laptop/pda screen protector, u put it on the guitar body, to prevent pick scratches, am looking for one to put on my guitar, coz it got no pickguard, has anyone seen these around? If i cant find em, i prob get a pda screen protector/ laptop screen protector n cut to size, ..... dun wan my baby kena scratch from vicious playing, as i cant afford another,.....until i start work full time hehehe

My baby is a prs custom 22, am waiting for it to come next week, n itll be my only guitar as am selling my current to get it.
Am not like a guitar collector n buy for investment n i plan to play n gig w it,.. so tts y am thinking of getting or making some sort of protector for the body,..

yeah. guess dats de prob wif prs guitars. de look is too nice so they dun wanna spoil it by putting a pick guard. haha.

wont the film have like a sort of deadening effect on your tone??

well people swear by nitro cellulose laquer and shit.... because of it not stifling the guitar body etc...etc.... the resonance of the guitar wood...... and alot of other TONE GURU mojojojo stuff...

personally i feel CAR POLISH does a great job... for scratches and gloss... because no FILM is going to protect your prs from a fall.

hey man. had an idea yesterday. u noe de kind of plastic sheet which is soft but can 'stick' to glass. u could use tt on ur guitar. its de kind of plastic sheet used for sticking stuff onto car windows. yeah. hope u like this idea.
