Guitar Problem

Hey guys~ i just my Epiphone Flying V 2 days ago and its already giving me shit!

1: the Pickups seem Weird, They do NOT give the right ammount of gain as compared to the Other epiphones that i have, xplorer and les pauls~

I;ve been using the same amp settings and everything else for 2 years and for some reason this just isnt giving that " This is what i play, this is what i should get " feeling

2: the pickup selector is just pissing me off right now and it goes off and on.

So im not sure if its the Pickups that are "Low gain" no such thing~ or if its Just the Electronics that are just fuked~

PS: i dont wanna change pickups if possible.

oh yes, i dont think that its cuz the Pickup is too far away from the strings~

thx again!

for the pup issue:
1. it might be wired in parallel (lower output than series but with greater clarity)
2. wiring issues, lose wires, ungrounded, etc
3. pups are just weak...need some seymours inside!

Selector problem:
epi pup selectors always give problems usually due to wiring issues plus sometimes selector is just plain lousy. i always replace those and rewire my entire guitar.

Hmm this one sounds pretty like it actually, it does have that tone but it just doesnt give 4/4, motr like a 3/4 sound

Edit: I also tried it on my MT2 with the gain on Full and it still doesnt help~
