Guys, what do you mean by coil tap bridge on its own?? Is it just solely using the bridge pickup alone or?

5-Position Blade and 2-Position Push/Push S-1™:

S-1 Switch Up:
Position 1. Full Bridge Humbucking Pickup with Coils in Series (Lead Tone Control)
Position 2. Middle Pickup and Inside Coil of Bridge Humbucking Pickup in Parallel (Lead Tone Control)
Position 3. Middle Pickup (Lead Tone Control)
Position 4. Neck and Middle Pickup in Parallel (Lead and Rhythm Tone Controls)
Position 5. Neck Pickup (Rhythm Tone Control)

S-1 Switch Down:
Position 1. Full Bridge Humbucking Pickup with Coils in Series (Lead Tone Control)
Position 2. Full Bridge Humbucking Pickup with Coils in Series, in Parallel with Neck Pickup (Lead and Rhythm Tone Controls)
Position 3. Full Bridge Humbucking Pickup with Coils in Series, in Parallel with Neck and Middle Pickups that are Paired in Series (Lead and Rhythm Tone Controls)
Position 4. Inside Coil of Bridge Pickup Paired in Series with Neck Pickup, in Parallel with Middle Pickup (Lead and Rhythm Tone Controls)
Position 5. Middle Pickup in Series with Neck Pickup (Rhythm Tone Control)

I highlighted wordings with "coils", so are they coil tap bridge? what does it mean?

And can someone explain what does parallel and series mean? i dun quite understand these terms.

'coil tap bridge on its own' Will depend on if you are talking about singlecoil pickups or humbuckers. The proper term usage will be a coil tap on a singlecoil. However some people have been known to mix up 'coil split' and 'coil tap'. A coil tap is where you tap out half of a single coil, grounding the other half. a coil split is where you are only using one of the single coils in a humbucker, grounding the other half.

series
-->pickup-->pickup-->

parallel

-->|--nothing-----|-->
----|-->pickup-->|

oh..cox the guitar i am toking about is HSS config.

And i read somewhere that pple sae too bad it does not have
coil tap in humbucking bridge..so i wonder wad it means..

i also forget already..quite some time ago i read about it somewhere.

But can explain to my parallel and series?

Like they talk about wad series together with neck pickup etc..

And i dun quite get wad those mean..how different will it sound?

It's not as useful to understand as to actually hear it yourself as a guitarist. Do listen to the actual thing for yourself and decide whether it's useful for you.

Yeap. Having North coil split, south coil split, parallel, out of phase with itself and series wiring for a humbucker isn't exactly useful.

You could....

Have a humbucker.

Have a rotary switch that goes. (not in order)

1) series
2) parallel
3) out of phase with itself
4) north coil
5) south coil

Then have another switch do the 1/2 tap, 1/3 tap, 3/4 tap, 17/21 tap only when options 4 or 5 are selected!!!!

Thats possible right? Seriously.
