Guitar Hiss Troubleshooting

Hey Guys, i hope you can help me out with this.. I usually play direct into DI box -> mixer -> house/aux. What i get is a lot of hiss, despite my guitar signal being at zero and despite all my effects being bypassed.. How do i deal and remove this hiss?

My rig: Guitar -> Budwah -> SD-1 -> Sansamp TriAC-> GE-7 -> CE-2 -> EB volume JR -> // DD-20 + DD-6 // -> DI box/ Amp

They are all daisy chained and powered by 1 Onespot adaptor.

Thanks in advance!

afew probable causes of noise and hiss.

1. insufficient power
2. bad connectors (each pedal)
3. bad cables

im sure there might be afew more, maybe other softies can contribute.

but im really thinking its something to do with the connectors(jacks) either on the pedals, amp or guitar.

if havent tried the sequence thing, perhaps can start now.

From just having the guitar into di to slowly adding one pedal by one pedal to changing one patch cable to more patch cables to using individual adaptor on pedals or just using 9v battery for pedals or change different guitar and see if theres still issue on hiss

oh, the mixer, try taking out the mixer for a start and see how it goes.

Slow and troublesome to plug in and out, but the isolation down to single piece of equipment sometime will help in finding out the cause of the hiss

If all fail, use noise gate to take away hiss when not playing. But when the moment the note is played, the hiss will come back again..
