guitar hero 3 on xbox

play both. Coz other than shape and the word "guitar". Both have absolutely nothing in common thats worth thinking to decided which one to play!

guitar hero doesnt help in making/writing new music
real guitar doesnt help in making owner in the house in front of tv set looking like real rockstar

guitar hero doesnt train any actual skill in real guitar playing other than perhaps better cordination between brain and hand movement
real guitar doesnt make you sound that good coz if no backing track, real guitarer is as dead as the boring dude who find entertainment looking into blank space

guitar hero is digital , 1, o, 1, 1, 0, 1, 0, 0
real guitar is warm, like how guitarer like to describe effect, warm delay, warm overdrive, and my favourite term, by them, warm chorus.

I would opt for real guitar. But hey i don't mind trying out guitar hero if it was available to me.. most probably gonna get owned.

Yeah, they're both different things cos I realised that a good guitarist can suck in the game and vice versa *lol*

Even though it's pretty cool watching people play, I'd rather spend the effort/time practising on my guitar and learning real songs. I'd think that most of the Guitar Hero gamers are closet guitarist-wannabes who didn't have the chance/time/commitment to learn the real thing :P

guitar hero is generally fun as hell..but its a game, no doubt about it. i've beaten songs before with the sound options turned to zero (theres a stupid little achievement for it), or using a controller (ditto) so it really does show its got little to do with actual playing..

it did make my pinky way stronger though, definite plus point.

you can go to plaza sing's best denki to try it out hahaha
its quite dun
but of cos the guitar controller feels funny comapred to a real guitar that is.
