Also note that guitar is a highly subjective instrument. What works for others might not work for you. It comes down to what you personally like and want in a guitar. Aggressive appearance or conservative appearance, tonal variety, etc.

Peninsula won't have a wide range of Ibanez RGs... The main dealer for Ibanez is Swee Lee which has an outlet at Bras Basah.

Haha... To be honest I find Ibanez guitars to be rather dull sounding, but I still like the distorted tones.

the ones at penin RG series costs around 340-450 if im not wrong. any idea how much Swee Lee selling? the price range. i heard they mark up until quite high one. not too sure. anyone knows?

Try B.C rich, very heavy tone and sick shapes. I own a B.C Rich Virgin. You Can find some bc riches @ davis

Well.. if the thread starter is going to be playing rock as well, I think BC Rich shapes would be a little overboard... except the more typical superstrats they have, those would be a good option too if they're within his budget.
