hey guys... im looking for an ext cab for amps... if the amp output for ext cab says 8ohm 15W, can i use a 100w ext cab? or the speaker watt mus match the output of the amp?

tks!

Generally you can use speakers that are marked for higher wattage. And in general, you won't go wrong with the exact impedance rating.

So you can get any 8 ohm, > 15W (or 30W, depends how manufacturer rates the amp) speaker safely.

lol i heard if the speaker wattage higher than power amp wattage, it will clip and damage the spkr... isit true?

I think you're getting it the wrong way - if you have a too powerful amp (100W) driving a speaker of say 15W, obviously the speaker will not be able to withstand the power and tear the speaker. Makes sense to me, and if you are unsure, post on TGP and verify. The guys there know amps better than I do.

Fine.

So how does the damn guitar cabinet sound if you house a 1x12 in a 2x12 cabinet?

Thanks PatheinRaindropMoe in advance!

What if house a 2x12 into a 1x12?

Will probably have to put them facing opposite sides.

Or better still stacking together facing the same side.

How would that sound?

why cannot house a 1 x 8 and a 1 x 10 in a 1 x 12 cab? Why cannot? ;please explain pls? how abt i face them into each other how would that sound. how abt is the cab is made of hondurus mahogany and seep in edder's pee to 7 x 7 49 days. will that bring out thge tone more?

more imptly will it bake POTATOES??
