Guitar Cable Problems!

My cable from Beez is getting a little weird. Sometimes there is no or less sound. I have to rotate the plug (guitar side) and tweak it until I get my full sound back. On closer inspection, I noticed that the plugs seem to be oxidizing a little. Is there a way to clean them? Would cleaning them fix my problem?

You might want to check the guitar input jack as well.
Make sure its screwed down properly.
