Guitar and its price

Hi folks

I have been trying to read and trying to gather a list of guitar with respect to their price range.

Initially I have some apprehension as I felt that many may ask for the taste of music and what kinda music the guitar going to play for.

Thinking along this line, it would transit into many possibilities and almost no answer unless have the guitar try out at the shop.

Anyway, just wanna try if any kind soul could give or share your view just based on the guitar price tag as well as if it worth for its price.

I looking at the price range below and welcome to add it if my suggested range need to further refine.

$100- $500

$500- $1000

$1000-$1500

$1500-$2000

it boils down to your budget. also whether 1st or 2nd hand guitars are in consideration. your request is too general IMO.

IMHO, different types of guitars shouldn't be tagged to only a single genre of music. Any guitar can be used to play any genre, even using a hollow body for metal isn't wrong at all, nor is there a right answer. Like Relinquish69 mentioned, what guitar that we should get depends firstly, on how much $$ we are willing to spare and then, secondly, which is the guitar that we feel personally comfortable with that is priced within our budget.

However, if you are just looking to place guitars within the price ranges that you have listed out, it could be a good way to give our fellow musicians out there a rough idea of what the prices are like out there. But, verily, prices of guitars varies from shop to shop due to shipping costs, demand and other factors.

To go on the safe side while trying to meet the needs of price and personal preference to playability, like Subversion said, it's best to enquire with the shop, and better still, go down to the shop and try it.

Seriously, don't be shy to go down to any music store in SG to try out any instrument, fx, amp, etc. Just respect the store's policies and everything should be fine.
