Wassup Guys!(and ladies),Are you interested in getting a new guitar while having a budget?Well no worries coz im here to help you,i will give you details(not very detailed, juz info that you guys need,NOT WANT) and i hope you guys enjoy this reviews,

First up,If you're looking for a guitar,You might wanna know what kind of guitar you want to choose,If you are a hardworking and have a creative mind, then buy a stratocaster kind of guitar, cheapest and the most budget i have seen and tried, and bought! is Acepro AE-10k,Why? Coz,its a H/S/S(humbucker/single/single) and it cost only $200,It wasn't my first guitar, but it has a Bolt-on neck and a 5 way switch,1 tone knob,1 volume knob and it is a vintage tremolo bridge,so it can be said that it is LIKE a stractocaster, but taking care wise,it is very money consuming and tiring, but if you know how to take care of it properly,i don't see any problem towards it.Sound,It is Great only for this kind of music(tested on my Line 6 amp+ my podx3) Rock,Blues,Metal(not heavy, not death, juz soft-normal metal)and jazz.If you are willing to spend your money on one guitar, then i recommend you to change your humbuckers if you are interested to metal but other than that, than leave it be it sound good by itself.

Next,If you are the kind of a person who like to play LIVE! and i repeat LIVE!!! and if you are finding a budget guitar,i recommend you to use this brand, not the guitar, coz different guitar=different taste to each players,so for LIVE players and budget,i recommend you to search around Ibanez guitars,Epiphone,Esp,Sx(not totally),Schecter,Bc Rich(if you are rich),Jackson, and im not sure if anyone know bout this brand but it is called Rally, quite a good guitar to have fun,but slightly expensive and heavy

And for recordings,This brands are what i totally trust within them,Gibson,Ibanez,Esp,Schecter,Jackson. Why? Ibanez, choose the GIO series, they are the okok, but i recommend you get the non tremolo(means no moving bridge, just put in and slam)Coz they are not my fave brand but i choose them coz they are trusted thanks to my pod live! ima pod fan coz i use these kind to record and for live i use boss pedal, and a whammy pedal, and wahwah pedal, and my guitar is Ibanez Gax30 and Sx Starter pack.My Ibanez Gax30 at first,a piece of crap, but i mod and change the humbucker,it became my 2nd child, while my Sx is a stratocaster copy and i had change the single coil to humbuckers but in the end i use it for rock and metal and MOSTLY clean while my Gax30 takes over the distortion and Clean of everything!

So i hope this review helps even abit and i know it sucks so plz dun send hate msg,i will try to review every guitar that will be in my hand coz im gonna be helping alot of people asking for reviews,so for more reviews,Wait till i post it up,FOR NOW! BYEBYE!!

I think we should talk more about the technical aspects rather than brands and particular guitars that are recommended. Newbies can easily search online for reviews of particular models.

What they must know is what to look for in a guitar that makes it most suitable for their purposes. E.g. the type of pickups a guitar has, the types of bridges, etc.

And what equipment they will need besides the guitar.

Yea. And so says the person who doesn't even know where to get guitars in Singapore.

Btw this guide sucks.

First off, it's damn hard to read without your spaces between punctuations and the incessant Capitalising of unnecessary letters???

Secondly, isn't this suppose to be a guide? Why are you recommending guitars for people?? Shouldn't you guide them so that they will have a clearer view of what they want? It's like telling people a whole bunch of crap and yet you force them to buy the guitar of YOUR choice.

Lastly, if you know it sucks and hate messages are imminent, please just refrain from clicking the submit thread button in future.

Mirrorboy that was quite mean lol. I think he's trying to help afterall.

But honestly bladelustre, the way you paragraph and arrange your sentences is really bad.
Try look at other guides and see how they do it.

most newbies dont leh...they just come here and ask away. but i agree with the rest of what u said. so let's help TS achieve his aim shall we? and lets start discussing what to look out for when deciding on a guitar.

i'll get the ball rolling then, i think its important to see what type of guitar pickup combination ur favourite guitarists use. H-H? H-S-H? S-S-S? H-S-S? H-S-S-H? etc. then it becomes clearer which type of pickup creates what type of sound (done by elimination method lol)

once ur clear of which pickup combination u want, go try around guitars with that particular combi. get someone u know test it out for u. unless it's SV, i dont really trust the salespeople to test a guitar for me =/ make sure u like what u hear. (before testing, let the tester know what kinda music u listen to)

now here comes the daunting task of testing the guitar personally. press a few frets here and there, play a few chords, strum a few times whatever. just make sure u once again like what u hear, only this time focus more on how comfortable u feel playing the guitar.

next, when u're done testing, inspect the guitar's condition. make sure there're no visible cracks or dings anywhere. especially for bolt-on necks. cracks do surface there if the workmanship is poor :(

ok that's it from me. any pro wants to donate more info or correct me please feel free to do so :)

A bit misleading. It enforces an opinion rather than give a 360 degrees coverage of the market to inform a newbie. Hmmm.

Wahlao cut some slack ah, at least can see the effort, but content wise maybe abit empty somewhere! But still, good effort, maybe you can be less judgemental of certain brands! Hehe cheers
