Alrighty!
Below is part of an album cover that has been cropped out.
Guess what album this is
(If you're a true blue metalhead, this should be a breeze):

That was indeed Iron Maiden's Powerslave!

That was way too easy...

Ok, here's another one. I think this is a wee bit harder:

Yes that's right echoist...sigh
I should've cropped out a different spot just to make it harder, but you are right! It's Spreading The Disease by Anthrax:

Speaking of Anthrax, I just got their Alive2 DVD. Anybody else has watched it?

I got it from Inokii.

The concert itself is nothing fancy. They played in a modest-sized club and the sound was adequate. But the main thing here is seeing the classic line up performing again. Joey Belladonna was clearly thrilled that he's back in the band. Danny Spitz was his cool self, but I noticed during the second and third song, he couldn't be found on the stage! But his guitar sound can be heard. Then all of a sudden he re-emerged out of nowhere. Weird. Frank Bello was his usual "all over the stage" mode. Charlie Benante was flawless and on the last song, Scott Ian played a Dimebag Darrell signature Washburn guitar. Overall the playing was tight and it's as if this line up never went away. I'm just disappointed they didn't play Got The Time. Oh well..

But what I like about the DVD is the 45min documentary of the band getting back together for the first time. They talked about the reunion, the history of the band and what they've been up to. There are also lots of snippets of their old performances. This is definitely for the hardcore Anthrax fans or people who grew up in that era of thrash metal wanting to indulge in a bit of nostalgia. Who knows how long this reunion is gonna last. Even the band don't know what's gonna happen in the future. So this DVD is a good medium to document this moment for the band.

OK I'm done with my review. On with the program...
