Announcing the CR-1 and CR-2 Cross Reference Monitors from Grover Notting.
The CR-1 is a unique Cross Reference Audio Monitor, which utilises a small 3 ½ inch cone wide range transducer matched with a large motor assembly mounted in a small infinite baffle enclosure.
In its development equal attention was paid to imaging and voicing characteristics. Its role is to address the range of the human voice along with acoustic instruments. It has a frequency bandwidth capability of 100Hz to 18 kHz. With its unique performance capability it will find favour in Post Production, Mixing and Mastering. It will also be ideal in certain installation environments where low distortion, high intelligibility is required.
The CR-2 monitors are designed to emulate a medium Fi audio reproduction system. They are almost double the size of the CR-1’s which results in a superior bass response. They are fabricated from 18mm custom wood for a solid vibration free reproduction. They also feature rounded edges and the black satin 2 pack finish as utilized on the CR-1. These speakers are ideally suited to the facility where music production and mixing are the main focus.
